John McCain, Who Nominated Sarah Palin as VP, Says Susan Rice Is "Unqualified"

Today, John McCain said that U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice is "not very bright" and "not qualified" to be Secretary of State. That comes from the same John McCain who nominated Sarah Palin to be his his vice president. McCain's basis for calling her unintelligent is that Susan Rice repeated faulty intel that stated the Benghazi attacks were the result of a YouTube video. In truth, she had nothing to do with Benghazi; she simply passed along the information she was given after the fact. For this, McCain calls her "not very bright" and "unqualified."

That's the same John McCain who vigorously defended Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice when she passed along faulty intel that said Iraq had WMDs, launching us into a decade long war that cost nearly 4,500 Americans lives and killed over Iraqi 100,000 civilians. Condi Rice gets a pass for that, but Susan Rice gets attacked mercilessly for something that was corrected days later and seems to have caused no harm? Really?

Susan Rice is not only very bright, but if President Obama chooses her to replace Sec. Hillary Clinton, I think she would be a great Secretary of State. I don't quite understand why some people are out to destroy this amazing woman. Or maybe I do.

"If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I'm happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador? Who had nothing to do with Benghazi? And was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received? To besmirch her reputation is outrageous." -President Obama, Nov. 14, 2012

Mississippi Tea Party Sends Out Misleading Email on Election Day: "Must Show ID to Vote." Not True!

In a desperate attempt to cause delays, confusion, and longer lines in the voting process, the Mississippi Tea Party is sending out emails and messages urging Mississippi voters to show ID at the polls. That's despite the fact that Mississippi's voter ID law was put on hold by the U.S. Justice Department and will not effect this election. The email includes an image of a flyer that says, "MUST SHOW ID TO VOTE." The text of the email is below:

As you vote today for the Romney-Ryan Team, and against the Obama-Biden record of failure, please join MS Gov. Phil Bryant and the MS Tea Party by showing your Photo ID to poll workers. The Mississippi Tea Party is suggesting that people show a driver's license or other photo identification as a protest of the Obama Administration's failure to approve our duly passed and overwhelmingly supported Voter ID Law.
President Obama had to show his ID in Illinois before he could vote.  It if it's good enough for the president, it's certainly good enough for the people of Mississippi.
HONEST ELECTIONS MATTER. HELP US STOP VOTER FRAUD. VOTE TODAY AND SHOW YOUR PHOTO ID.
Yes, President Obama did show ID to vote. But that was only because he voted early in Illinois, where you are required to show voter ID if you vote early.

No Mississippians, you are not required to show voter ID today. If a poll worker asks you for ID, call the MS NAACP voter fraud hotline at 1(888) 601-8683. I've already reported this email to them.
