On the day that Hillary Clinton stepped down as Secretary of State, Newsweek released the above magazine cover. "The most powerful woman in American history." Powerful stuff, eh? And she may even become more powerful. While she's denied multiple times that she plans to run for president in 2016, no one really believes that, do they? As she was stepping down today, she certainly seemed to leave the door open:
"I am going to be secretary of state until the very last minute when I walk out the door, and then I am going to take the weekend off and then I may start thinking about all the various offers and requests and ideas that have come my way."
Please Hillary, do be thinking about it, and get plenty of rest, because we're going to need you in top shape for 2016.
Meanwhile, do take note of this recent PPP poll, which shows that Texas could go blue with Hillary Clinton running. She beats Marco Rubio in Texas by 1 point, 46-45, beats Chris Christie in Texas by 2 points, 45-43, and most interestingly, wipes the floor with Texas Governor Rick Perry among Texans 50-42. Whoa.
