Your dramatic attempts to plan a group vacation could win you and five friends a trip

If you have ever tried to plan a group vacation you know how frustrating it can be.

But, it is a good idea to take a few screenshots of those dramatic reality-TV-worthy discussions because Hotels.com wants to give you and up to five friends the chance to win a three-night free trip to California.

“Trying to make a group trip happen is, well, an ordeal – from budgets to locale to the friend who refuses to take PTO. So, we created ‘Destination Drama,’ an ode to our ‘Can’t Go Wrong’ ad campaign that reminds people that booking with Hotels.com is anything but dramatic,” said Shannon Lovich, head of PR and communications, North America. “With free cancellation on most bookings, thousands of properties to choose from, and rewards earned on every night, you really can’t go wrong.”

You and your friends will receive a three-day stay at a property in Palm Desert, California, (check-in at 3 p.m. PT on Sept. 3 and check out at 11 a.m. PT on Sept. 6.)

The property has a swimming pool, lazy river, water slide, hammocks, loungers, fire pit, putting green, citrus garden, half basketball court and a sand volleyball court. There are nine bedrooms.

Each traveler will get $1,000 to use for airfare or other expenses, a custom robe, slippers, an eye mask and “your very own highlight reel of the weekend’s juiciest moments.”

All you have to do to enter is to submit screenshots of your “dramatic attempt” to book a group vacation by 1 p.m. EST on Aug. 18.

Hotels.com says the “most drama-filled crew” will be selected and notified by Aug. 20. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. You can see all the rules here.
